An idea: 1 part serious and 1 part just for fun

So if I were to write a book, what should I write it on or about? I think it would be awesome to write one and I have someone thinking of ideas for me already, but just thought I'd throw it out there on my blog and see where it landed... afterall, aren't blogs the place for randomness?!

you should soooo write a book! I'd buy it! (Only if you signed it!) Hmmmmm.... what to write about? i can see you being brutally honest about everyday life. Some of my absolute favorite books "Ashley Stockingdale Series" by Kristin Billerbeck. Have you read them? They're great! I can totally see you writing that kind of book... without the plagiarism, of course!

So what part of your post was fun and what part was serious? :)

Great Idea! You should definitely write a book. Are you thinking fiction or non-fiction?

heather- The part serious and part fun was I seriously want to write a book, but it's a "just for fun" idea at this point. =) thanks for your thoughts - I kind of want to do a "brutally honest about every day life" type of book hehe

Rebecca- I want to do Non-fiction at this point. I'm not sure I have the creative juices to do fiction.

do a creative advice book...

you already do it and you could make a compilation book!

How about, "My Life in the Midwest: A California Girl's Thoughts on Minnesotan Culture"

(Or, you could do that vice versa, if you think a Minnesota Girl's thoughts on CA would sell)

haha, I like how you imply that a book about a CA girl's thoughts would most definitely sell but... a MN girl? Have to check that one... ;)

Infiltrate another culture/lifestyle and write about it! I loved the book "Nickel and Dimmed" where a college educated women who was financially successful took leave for a year to become a "poor-working" woman trying to live on minimum wage. It's a book everyone should read! Fascinating. Another great book of the 60's was, "Black Like Me" where a white guy put on black make up for his skin and roamed the deep South to experience what it was like to be black.

Infiltrate and learn! Then you could write about your experience.

Major undertaking, I know.

(something easier would be to "become" another religion, or an Atheist!) Just think of all the fun! LOL.
