The Best Feeling Ever

I want to know what your some of your most favorite feelings ever are!

I am not talking about emotional feelings and I am not talking about the obvious ones -let's assume getting hugs and kisses from your kids, hearing "I love you" from those you care about, winning money, and well, anything that happens in the bedroom with your significant other, are all some common favs so let's skip the obvious ones.

I will go first.

One of my favorite feelings is a long, hot shower after not showering for a few days (you know, like after camping or something).

And another... brushing my teeth after not being able to for the whole day. Oh and going to sleep knowing that I don't have to set an alarm!

Ok... your turn...

I love summer evenings when the sun is hanging low in the west amidst glorious hues and it's toasty warm. Sitting in our courtyard with a glass of good wine, dog sniffing in the bushes, and my best friend sitting next to me, enjoying his cup of coffee. Not a word needs to pass between us, we just bask in the glow, and it's the best feeling of peacefulness! Shades of eternity in our hearts...

I love driving during summer/late spring nights with my windows down and the music blasting :) I love knowing that not only do I not have to set the alarm the next day - but neither does Paul and we will get to spend the whole day together (instead of him at work, me at home like it normally is). I love how I feel at the end of a particularly good workout, and how I feel when I get a perfect or better score on a test I hardly worked at :)

I LOVE...
The feeling of the changing of seasons...mostly from winter to spring when suddenly EVERYONE is outdoors, you can finally enjoy the fresh air, and lay out in the sun.
Also, the feeling you know you're about to consume a flavorful cup of coffee or chai:)
OR...waking up in the middle of the night...glancing at the clock & realizing you have more time to sleep:)

oh I also LOVE the waking up in the middle of the night and knowing I can sleep longer!

I love it when it is that hour after lunch and the kids are all asleep and it is overcast/rainy and I sit on my bed and read a book until I get drowsy. It's that moment when I am so drowsy that I know I am falling asleep, but I'm not asleep yet.

Oh, and I'm totally with you on the tooth brushing thing!

i love discovering soholt's bakery goods in the freezer when i thought i had eaten them all. i love going barefoot all of the time, but i really love walking on warm grass (preferrably in someone else's yard that doesn't have dog doo to worry about). i love when E wakes up in the middle of the night and says "mommy" and then just goes back to sleep. i love talking to friends/family over many cups of coffee and having absolutely no idea how much time has slipped past b/c the conversation was so good :)
